Airstream Stanley Thermos Trailer
The marketing company for Stanley Thermos approached us to build a unit for use in trade shows to promote the use of Stanley products. They asked for an “entertaining” area in front with storage and a cleanup area in the rear portion of the trailer.
The Transformation Process
We began with a gutted 1966 24ft Airstream Trade Wind. At the customer's request, an access door was installed in the rear to load supplies and product. The interior was rewired and reinsulated and the skin was reapplied. A lounge and display area was then built in the front using reclaimed lumber. A vintage wood door, complete with trim, was installed to separate the two areas.
A new Zip Dee awning was installed for outdoor entertaining.
In the final step, the trailer was polished and clearcoated. It was ready to promote the time honored Stanley Thermos.
